More threats of gloom and doom... H5N1 anybody?

It's the nejm for you...

sensationalist, hype or otherwise... there is a vaccine for it.

weighing the pros and cons, erdoc promptly got his paws on a vial...

wash your hands, y'all...

I must have been misinformed then... I could have sworn the label on the flu vaccine I got included H5N1... Oh well, what do I know? I'm just a grunt in the front <grin>

Work on a vaccine has just barely begun. No vaccine has gone through clinical trials and won't for at least six to nine months. It's misleading to suggest to your readership that a vaccine for H5N1 exists. There is only an antiviral at the moment. Four labs, plus the CDC are working on a vaccine, but you and I both know it will be months before it is available to the public.
