John Hart January 26, 2005 04:23 PM PST Work on a vaccine has just barely begun. No vaccine has gone through clinical trials and won't for at least six to nine months. It's misleading to suggest to your readership that a vaccine for H5N1 exists. There is only an antiviral at the moment. Four labs, plus the CDC are working on a vaccine, but you and I both know it will be months before it is available to the public.
